Rancé History

Since 1795, The Rancé family has dedicated itself to the development of the finest fragrances and bath products which historically were favored by Napolean as well as most of the aristocracy over the last 200 years. As one of the founding families of the Grasse region, the birthplace of the perfume industry in France, François Rancé founded in 1795.

At the end of the 1800's Alexandre Rancé relocated the factory to Milan where he made profound contributions to the development of the modern perfume industry as we know it today.

For generations, the Rancé family has continued the tradition utilizing only the highest quality flowers cultivated in the Grasse countryside to produce extracts, distilled flower waters, Cologne waters and perfumed creams, soaps and aroma therpay products which are now available in 17 countries throughout the world, most recently the United States.

La Maison Rancé continues work today under the direction of Giansandra Rancé who strictly maintains the highest standards of quality, integrity, and ecology in all innovative products developed under the Rancé family name.
